Where It All Started

A Detroit Dream in the Heart of Texas

Via 313 was founded by brothers Brandon and Zane Hunt — two Detroit natives who moved to Austin, TX and couldn't find a proper Detroit-style pizza anywhere. In 2011, they turned a food trailer into a pizza phenomenon, bringing the thick, crispy-edged, cheese-forward squares of their hometown to the Lone Star State.

Named after Detroit's area code, Via 313 isn't just a restaurant — it's a love letter to a city, a cuisine, and a way of life. Every pizza is made with the same dedication to craft that the brothers poured into that very first trailer: quality ingredients, honest recipes, and uncompromising attention to the perfect bake.

Today, Via 313 has grown into a beloved San Antonio institution, serving thousands of happy customers from our location at 7010 W Loop 1604 N. The trailer spirit lives on — bold, unpretentious, and absolutely delicious.

2011

The Trailer Days Begin

Brothers Brandon and Zane Hunt park a food trailer in Austin, TX serving authentic Detroit-style pizza to a curious crowd. Lines form immediately.

2013

Austin's Cult Favorite

Via 313 earns a devoted local following and multiple "Best Pizza in Austin" recognitions. The trailer expands to a second location to meet demand.

2016

First Brick-and-Mortar

The first full-service Via 313 restaurant opens, bringing the beloved trailer experience indoors with a full bar, expanded menu, and craft beer pairings.

2019

National Recognition

Food publications nationwide spotlight Via 313's unique Detroit-style pies. The Detroiter and Cadillac pizzas become fan favorites with a cult following coast to coast.

2021

San Antonio Arrival

Via 313 plants its flag in San Antonio at 7010 W Loop 1604 N, bringing the signature square slices to the Alamo City and its passionate food community.
